AVA celebrated its 10th anniversary on 1 April 2010. To commemorate the occasion, a Special Commemorative Supplement was published in addition to the January 2011 issue of the AVA Vision newsletter as a bumper edition.

CEO's Message
Come 1 April 2010, AVA will celebrate our 10th birthday. We have chosen the theme “AVA is 10! Let’s Celebrate!” to commemorate this significant milestone.
Over the last decade, AVA has built up the infrastructure and scientific expertise to ensure a resilient supply of safe food in Singapore whilst safeguarding the health of our animals and plants. Going forward, AVA is challenged to continue to meet these needs of our nation, whilst remaining vigilant against emerging diseases and potential food-borne hazards. AVA will fulfill our mission by working closely with the industry and our stakeholders to build up new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
While we celebrate our 10th anniversary, it is timely that we remember the less fortunate around us in our community. AVA will be organising a series of activities to raise funds for our adopted charity, the Kampong Senang Charity and Education Foundation, as well as the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
The 10th Anniversary Logo
The 10th Anniversary Logo is a reflection of the AVA logo. The swirl is the main common feature between the 10th Anniversary Logo and the AVA Logo as it is symbolic of AVA's significant role in the protection of the living environment in Singapore and safeguarding the health of animals, fish and plants.
The 10th Anniversary Logo also keeps with the original colour theme of green-orange-blue. This signifies the natural link to the living environment i.e. plants-animals-fish – the main components of AVA's business. The interactive graphics are also maintained to demonstrate the importance of close partnerships as AVA works with various stakeholders.
The blue fish represents the evolving farming and food sector in Singapore. The green orchid represents AVA’s commitment to ensuring plant health and promoting agrotechnology. The orange paw print reflects AVA’s dedication to safeguarding the health of animals and promoting their welfare.
The cursive font for “10 years” gives a celebratory feel in line with AVA’s 10th Anniversary theme “AVA is 10! Let’s Celebrate!”.
Overall, the logo signifies a milestone for AVA and reminds all of AVA’s mission and goals, change and innovation that are backbone to a progressive agency.
