In international food trade, it is common for the regulatory authorities of certain countries to require importers of food products to furnish various food export documents issued by the regulatory authorities of the exporting countries.
AVA issues various types of food export certificates at the request of the local food exporters who are exporting processed food products to assist them in meeting the requirements of the regulatory authorities of the importing countries.
- Food (Export) Certificate (commonly known as Health Certificate)
- Food (Export) Certificate for Certification of Food Flavours
- Food (Export) Certification for Other Types of Certification
A Food (Export) Certificate (commonly known as Health Certificate), Food (Export) Certificate for Certification of Food Flavours and Food (Export) Certification for Other Types of Certification will only be issued for food consignments manufactured or processed or packed in a food processing establishment licensed by AVA.
These certificates are issued for food consignments that comply fully with the requirements of the Sale of Food Act Cap 283 and the Food Regulations. For food consignments that do not meet the requirements of the Food Regulations, the issue of a statement of fact may be considered if the applicant can furnish evidence that such standards are acceptable to the relevant authorities or comply with the food laws of the importing country.
