Application Form for Dog Trainer Accreditation

This eService is for dog trainers who wish to apply for accreditation.

The objective of the accreditation is to ensure minimum competency standards in dog training so that the dog can be properly controlled by its handler and will be less prone to show aggression or to bite.

This is not a mandatory accreditation scheme. Non-accredited dog trainers can continue to offer their services to the public but will not be recognized by AVA to train Scheduled dogs and other dogs required by AVA to be trained.

You will need the following information:

  • The particulars and corporate organisation of the applicant
  • Employment history related to dog training in the last 2 years
  • Professional qualifications in dog training. Photocopy of certificate to be provided.
  • Relevant Experience With Dogs in the last 2 years
  • 6 verifiable references from clients whose dogs have been trained by you in the last 2 years; 2 of which have to include the training of Scheduled dogs and/or medium-to-large dogs with aggressive behavioural issues.

STEP 1: Download and print the application form. Fill in your particulars and relevant information to complete your application. It may take you 20 minutes

STEP 2: Email the completed application form and supporting documents to AVA_ARC@ava.gov.sg or submit to: Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority, 52 Jurong Gateway Road, #09-01, Singapore 608550.
