Claiming of Impounded Dogs & Cats

To claim impounded dogs or cat, you have to pay these fees.

Type of fee Fee
  • S$93 per dog
  • S$47 per cat
  • S$16.50 per animal per night
Licence fee for dogs
  • S$90 per unsterilised dog per year
  • S$15 per sterilised dog per year (upon presentation of sterilisation certificate issued by a veterinary clinic)

You may have to pay composition fees for the following cases:

  • Unlicensed dog
  • Expired or invalid dog licence
  • Straying dog
  • Unmuzzled dog (for breeds that must be muzzled in public). Breeds required to be muzzled are:
    • Pit Bull, Akita, Neapolitan Mastiff, Tosa and their crosses
    • Bull Mastiff, Bull Terrier
    • Doberman Pinscher
    • German Shepherd Dog (and related breeds)
    • Rottweiler
    • Perro de Presa Canario

Impounded animals are housed at the Centre for Animal Welfare and Control (CAWC) located at 75 Pasir Panjang Road.

To collect an impounded animal, please call our hotline at 1800 476 1600 to set up an appointment during the following hours: 

  • Mondays – Fridays: 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 4.30pm
    Except Public Holidays

Please bring along a suitable carrier to transport the animal.

All payments to be made by NETS only.
