Open Grant Call - Cat Mediation Service

The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) invites interested applicants to submit proposals for the provision of mediation services to manage cat-related feedback in Singapore for the period of one year

AVA being the first responder for animal-related issues, receives feedback from members of the public, Town Councils and other public agencies in Singapore. Notwithstanding the different purview by other agencies, AVA embodies the Whole-of-Government approach and is the lead agency to address and manage cat-related feedback.

AVA recognises that mediation acts as an additional lever in addition to existing processes put in place by the agency and its stakeholders. Mediation helps to intervene in a dispute between parties in order to resolve feedback amicably.

For this purpose, mediation will include mediating dis-amenity as a result of a human-cat conflict, and to mediate differences of opinion between members of the public on issues relating to and involving cats. This may also include educating, interviewing and advising residents in Singapore. In addition, there may be a need to address cat owners and cat feeders on the importance of adopting responsible pet ownership, and socially accepted behaviour when dealing with cats.

Interested applicants may refer to full details of this open call for more information. All interested applicants should also submit their returns with their application form

The application period for this Open Call is from 1 December 2017 to 31 December 2017

We regret that we will not be accepting any applications after this date.
