Certification of Species

This Certification of Species confirms that the species name stated in the Certificate is not listed in the Appendices to CITES.

What to prepare before applying

Documents indicating product (with species name) to be re-exported was previously imported, eg. invoice/packing list, Cargo Clearance Permit, export license/permit from the country of origin/last re-export.

How to apply

STEP 1: Fill in the details in the online application form. It may take you 10 – 20 minutes. Please complete your application within 1.5 hours.

STEP 2: Provide the required information (e.g. species name, product description, quantity, consignee details, country of origin, country of destination, etc.)

STEP 3: Attach soft copies of supporting documents (e.g. import permit, invoices, etc.)

STEP 4: Pay the fees per certificate:

  • online by GIRO
  • by  NETS/cashcard/credit card during certificate collection at AVA

After applying

  1. The Certification of Species will be ready for collection 2 working days from the date of application for normal service if the application and supporting documents are in order. If you require the certificate urgently, you may apply for express service and there will be a surcharge equivalent to the cost of the certificate.
  2. Check the status of your application online to confirm if the certificate can be collected.
  3. Collect your certificate(s) at the counter at:

Please note that our last queue ticket will be issued 30 minutes before the Centre’s closing time & lunch hour. Customers are advised to arrive ahead of time to avoid any disappointment or being turned away.
